General membership meetings are open to all Washington State Employees. General meetings and subcommittee meetings alternate month to month and take place from 9-11AM.

No general or subcommittee meetings are held in the month of December.

ASL First meetings are for state employees who identify as Deaf, DeafBlind or hard of hearing. They take place from Noon to 1PM on:

February 11, April 8, June 10, August 12, October 14 and, and December 9.

The DIN Leadership Elections Take Place Soon!

If you have ever thought about increasing your involvement with DIN, here's your chance. Elections will be taking place soon, and we need some awesome candidates to run for all of the positions!

Here's the elections timeline:

  • 9/10 Nominations open officially at the next General DIN meeting.
  • 9/24 Nominations close.
  • 9/28-10/2 nominees notified.
  • 10/23 Need acceptance and statement from nominees who agree to run.
  • 11/12 At DIN Meeting, people running for Vice Chair have an opportunity to give  a statement (other nominees may also choose to speak). The candidate statement packet and ballot will go out after the meeting.
  • 11/20 Elections close.
  • 11/27 Elected folks must formally accept after getting leadership approval.
  • 12/3 Announcement sent out via gov delivery of new leadership.
  • 12/10 During DIN meeting time, incoming and outgoing leadership meet.
  • 1/1 New leadership officially takes over.
