Each subcommittee has its own focus area where they strive to support people with disabilities in state service. If you have questions or would like information on how you can get involved, please email the subcommittee lead using the links below.

The Communications and Marketing Subcommittee is preparing to actively use our official LinkedIn and Facebook accounts. Our Facebook account is pending at this time while we work on regaining access.
Before we begin posting on these accounts we want your feedback. Your perspective will help us understand your wants, needs, and concerns related to our social media pages and how we can represent DIN in a way that feels respectful, accurate, and meaningful.

- Types of content you find helpful.
- Any ideas, concerns, or suggestions you want us to consider.
All perspectives are welcome as we build this together. We will share the final survey statistics during the General Membership meeting on Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 9AM to 11AM.

Communications and Marketing Subcommittee
Mission and Goals:
- Ensure that all forms of communication and marketing are accessible and promote universal access throughout the enterprise.
- Provide technical assistance to other BRGs when needed.
- Maintain an engaging and current website that is user-friendly and provides information and resources about DIN and other BRG activities.

Disability Justice Subcommittee
Mission and Goals:
- Identify the gaps and barriers for persons with disabilities, including those in additional marginalized communities.
- Increase awareness of the intersectionality of identity(s) for peoples with disabilities.
- Provide trainings and educational materials on issues related to disability justice.

Resources, Education, and Policy (REP) Subcommittee
Mission and Goals:
- Partner with employees, leadership, agencies, and legislators to support people with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining employment within the state. This ensures equal opportunity through actively hiring, retaining, and promoting persons with disabilities.
- Create, source, and refine media and training materials that provide disability education and advocacy resources.
- Provide resources including videos, trainings, and educational materials.
- Consult with employees, leadership, agencies, and legislators on disability and inclusion policy, procedures, and training.
